About the RoleWe’re looking for a software engineer who will play a challenging role in enhancing, optimizing, redesigning and rewriting our current application. Our software engineer must know all stages of software development. He or she must be able to communicate any unsolved issue with our experienced IT consultant as well as lead and train our junior member(s). NOTE: The architecture and API document is already prepared but we are open to improving it. RequirementsExperience with using the FastAPI framework5+ years of professional Python backend development experience (production level experience, testing, profiling of code)Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms and understanding of algorithmic complexityKnowledge of different database types (most importantly MongoDB, Postgres) and their related frameworks (pymongo and SQLAlchemy)Familiar with Docker and containerized backend servicesFamiliar async task queues in python (celery)Knowledge of how to write unit tests and maintain a high test coverage for your codeOutstanding documentation and systems debugging skillsStrong oral and written communication skills in EnglishGit flowNice to haveExperience with Amazon Web ServicesExperience or familiarity with microservices and loose-couplingExperience working with WebSocket and MQTT frameworksCI/CD experienceScope of WorkEstimate and design for small increments of workCommunicate effectively with a positive and confident attitudeMentoring, sharing knowledge and helping ensure effective coding practicesUnit and integration testsResearch technologies/methodologies, explore alternative solutions and implementations, and critically evaluate trade-offsImplement distributed, scalable, high-performance micro-service-based applications (If you need help to design such a system, you have access to an experienced IT Consultant)Benefits - Flexible working time - Remote working - Competitive salary- Working on an innovative award-winning international productAbout DIREKDirek has been established in 2017 and since then has provided various innovative technologies for location-based services.
